Joiin vs Syft: what each costs

Joiin's bill counts companies and Syft's counts connected entities. As read on October 30, 2026, Joiin Core is $77 a month for 5 companies and $122 for 10, billed monthly. Syft's pricing page lists Standard at $23 a month, Plus at $47 a month and Advanced at $95 a month; Syft prices each connected entity, and each entity can sit on its own plan.

A Syft consolidation takes the functions of the lowest plan among its entities, and Joiin Core reports in one currency. Syft's page says consolidations are free of charge with no limit on entities, and it tells a group of more than 10 entities to contact it.

Consolidation and eliminations in Joiin and Syft

Joiin maps each company's chart of accounts to one group chart and eliminates intercompany items on every plan, by account, by contact or by transaction. Syft's help center says account-level eliminations come with every paid plan and transaction-level eliminations with Plus and Advanced only.

Joiin's pricing page lists ten accounting integrations, including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, and other systems come in by spreadsheet or manual import. Syft's help center says it consolidates entities from accounting software, trial balances, transaction lists and ERP data, naming Xero and QuickBooks Online among them.

Currencies, ownership and acquisitions

Joiin converts into one reporting currency you choose, using month-end and average historical rates from Open Exchange Rates by default, and adds an FX adjustment line so the report balances. Several reporting currencies come on Pro and Max, and your own exchange rates on Max. Syft supports multi-currency consolidation on Plus and Advanced and says it supports exchange rates for over 170 currencies.

For a partly owned company, Joiin lets you assign an ownership percentage to each entity. Syft's consolidations take journals for goodwill, fair value and non-controlling interests, and offer a proportional method that multiplies an entity's financials by a percentage.

Syft and Xero

Xero announced in September 2024 that it would acquire Syft, and its blog says Syft stays available as a standalone application. Xero's December 2025 post describes Syft as built for accountants and bookkeepers. Joiin and Syft both appear in Xero's US App Store collection for multi-entity businesses, and best consolidation software for Xero compares them with the rest.

Who should pick Joiin and who should pick Syft

• Joiin for an owner's group of 5 to 10 companies that wants a second currency on one plan, with an ownership percentage on each partly owned company.
• Syft for goodwill and non-controlling interest journals in the consolidation, or for its Basic plan, which its pricing page lists as free for dashboards and graphs.
• Fathom, the financial reporting app (fathomhq.com), for a group with a QuickBooks Desktop company; Joiin vs Fathom has that comparison.
