Can QuickBooks Online consolidate multiple companies: the short answer

The Intuit help articles cited here describe no consolidated report across plain QuickBooks Online company files. Per Intuit's help, each company you create needs its own paid subscription, and companies that share a sign-in keep their data separate. Intuit documents two routes: Spreadsheet Sync on QuickBooks Online Advanced, its add-in that sends QuickBooks reports into Excel and can combine companies in a group, and Intuit Enterprise Suite. A reporting app such as Joiin is the third.

Spreadsheet Sync on QuickBooks Online Advanced

QuickBooks Online Advanced lists at $340 a month per company, as read on October 30, 2026, and Spreadsheet Sync on Advanced works with Excel only. Intuit's group article says only Advanced admin users and standard all-access users can open it.

1. Select + Create group and choose the group's currency.
2. Under Connected companies, tick the companies to add.
3. Select Build multi-company reports, choose the group and select Run Report.

The reports that combine are Balance Sheet (Multiple Period), Profit and Loss (Multiple Period) and Trial Balance. A cash flow statement is not on Intuit's list, and the articles cited here describe no elimination step. Accounts combine only when name, type and level match.

Intuit's help says Spreadsheet Sync multi-company reports are for QuickBooks Online Advanced, and that Simple Start, Essentials and Plus companies can also be added to a group; whether every company needs Advanced is not stated.

Intuit Enterprise Suite: consolidation inside one product

Intuit Enterprise Suite is priced by quote, and Intuit calls it a category distinct from QuickBooks Online. Its help shows consolidated reports for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement, plus automatic removal of the intercompany accounts you choose. Intuit says it does not support entities outside the US at this time.

Intuit's Advanced page points multi-entity buyers to Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit tells existing users to contact their account manager to link companies. Intuit Enterprise Suite vs QuickBooks Online Advanced sets it beside Advanced.

Apps that read your QuickBooks Online files

Joiin reads each QuickBooks Online company once an Admin user connects it, and every plan builds the group profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow; for 5 companies Core is $77 a month, billed monthly. Consolidation software for QuickBooks lists the options.

JustConsolidate books the group in a new QuickBooks company that holds the consolidated books, and its price leaves out that company's QuickBooks subscription, paid to Intuit separately. Fathom, the financial reporting app (fathomhq.com), lists QuickBooks Online and Desktop and says entities from Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB or Excel can be consolidated together.

Which route fits 2, 5 or 10 companies

Advanced is $340 a month for each company, and Intuit does not state which plans a group needs, so no group total appears. Intuit Enterprise Suite is by quote.
