Financial consolidation software cost per month at 2, 5, 10 and 20 companies

At 5 companies, billed monthly, financial consolidation software costs $65 a month with JustConsolidate (plus a separate QuickBooks subscription), $77 with Joiin Core, $175 with Spotlight Reporting and $295 with Fathom.

Joiin, Fathom and JustConsolidate price by company count, and Joiin sets a separate price for each of Core, Pro and Max. The table shows Core, the entry plan, which reports in one currency. Spotlight Reporting lists a price per organization ($35 each, or $329 for up to 10 and $25 for each one more), so its figures apply that list to 2, 5, 10 and 20 companies.

Cost per year: annual billing and twelve monthly payments

Joiin prints annual totals. For 5 companies, Joiin Core is $744 a year billed annually ($62 a month as printed) or $77 a month billed monthly. Joiin pricing sets out Pro and Max by company count.

Fathom, Spotlight Reporting and JustConsolidate show monthly prices only, so their yearly cost is twelve monthly payments, not a printed annual price. Fathom says it is pay as you go with no contracts, and JustConsolidate says it has no contracts or commitments.

Reach Reporting prices by data connection, and its help center says one connection is one company file. For 10 connections it lists $290 a month, billed monthly, or $2,436 a year, billed annually. On the annual plan every connection is paid for the full year up front.

What a spreadsheet costs: staff time, not a license

Excel's Consolidate command comes with Excel, so a group that already has Excel pays no extra license for it. Microsoft 365 Business Standard is $23.50 a user a month, paid yearly.

The cost is the staff time each month to lay out every company's sheet the same way and match its labels, which this page does not price. Microsoft says labels that do not match across sheets become separate rows; consolidated profit and loss for multiple companies in Excel has the steps.

What Intuit's routes cost

QuickBooks Online Advanced, the plan with Spreadsheet Sync, is $340 a month per company at list price. Intuit says each QuickBooks Online company is its own paid subscription and does not state whether every company in a Spreadsheet Sync group must be on Advanced, so this page gives no group total. Intuit Enterprise Suite has no public price: Intuit builds a bundle and an agreement with the buyer. Intuit Enterprise Suite vs QuickBooks Online Advanced compares the two.

A group pricing a move to one Intuit system asks Intuit for a quote. A QuickBooks-only group can price JustConsolidate at $65 a month for 5 companies, before the QuickBooks subscription.

Costs outside the price list

Fathom and Spotlight Reporting list prices without sales tax, and Joiin's pages do not say how US sales tax is added to an invoice. JustConsolidate's figure leaves out the QuickBooks subscription that its consolidation company needs, paid to Intuit separately. Acterys, a Power BI planning platform, prints no plan price; it says its pricing starts at $168 a month, with no plan or billing basis named.

Joiin has no setup fees. Core fits a group of 5 to 10 companies in one reporting currency; a group with a company in a second currency prices Pro, $83 a month for 5 companies, billed monthly. Joiin's 14-day trial on Max asks for no card and lets a group see its own numbers before paying. For eight tools by job, read best financial consolidation software.
